2013 House Cross Country

The House Cross Country was held in cold conditions and under leaden skies on Friday last week. Fortunately the rain held off and we were able to hold the scheduled races, allowing all Year Levels to compete their runs on the day. All Year 7 – 9 boys and selected Years 10 – 12 boys competed and there was a high degree of effort and enthusiasm exhibited from the competitors.

The event was held for its second successive year at the Mannix Campus cross country course, which provided a challenging run with changing gradient and surface types.

The boys who achieved the best runs in their Year level/division were as follows:

Thanks to all the staff and students involved, with a special mention to the Heads of Houses, as well as Mr Radley, Mr Egan, Mr Selwood, Br Barry and the maintenance staff for their organisation and planning. As the final results below suggest, the results were spread across the houses. Consistency across year levels is the key, highlighting the significance that one point can bring to the final overall score.
It is important now that all fundraising money is brought to the College promptly by boys and should be handed to the homeroom mentor in a clearly labeled envelope.
