2014 Mother’s Day
At 7:30am Friday 9 May, 150 or more people gathered in the Chapel for Mass to help celebrate Mother’s Day. Fr Papworth delivered a lovely homily which dwelt on the amazing contribution that mothers have made, and continue to make, in our lives. Following Eucharist, the gathering made their way to our new Hall Foyer for a delicious breakfast arranged by Mrs Barb Monaghan, Lores Crestani- Smith, Mrs Denise Forster and our wonderful Parents Association. It was great to see boys from Years 7 through to Year 12, as well as a number of Past Pupils, taking time to let their mums know what special people they are. The occasion was a great success and was made possible by the efforts of a considerable number of people. A big thank you to: Fr Papworth and Mrs Nadia Knight for the poignant Eucharistic Celebration; Mr Anthony McClelland, Mr Leon Brooks, Mr Mark Breen and Mr Dennis Veneruzzo for setting up the Hall Foyer; Year 10/11 students Josh Knight, Kishon Pawar, Tom Andrews, Connor Andrews, Edwin Saravanapavaan for their assistance; Barb Monaghan and Lores Crestani- Smith for catering support; Mrs Gesualda Cafasso for administrative support; and Ms Suzie McErvale and Mrs Mary Menz for coordinating and publicising what is becoming one of the highlights of the year.
