2015 Becchi Transition Day

Last Friday 29 May 2015, Salesian College Chadstone welcomed 175 of 193 Grade 6 boys and their families to the College to take part in Becchi Transition Day.  Becchi Transition Day serves an important role in the transition process for boys, as it introduces students to the secondary environment in a relaxed and happy atmosphere with other boys who are starting their Salesian College Chadstone journey. But the transition not only resides with the boys, so too with parents. The morning was utilised to communicate key educational material; specifically dissecting our Transition Program, e-Communication tools available, our tailored Laptop Program and insight into how boys specifically, transition to secondary school.

It was a wonderful way to welcome incoming families (some existing) to the Salesian College Chadstone Community. Involving parents/guardians in this transition phase with the boys is important to us, as it reinforces the relationship between parent, students and school – a link that we are committed to nurturing during their time at the College.
