ACC Senior Sport


On Wednesday 9March the Salesian tennis team travelled to Melbourne Park to play St Bernard’s in their semi-final match. Prior to the game St Bernard’s had only dropped one set for the season. Unfortunately we were unable to secure a finals place. The boys lost the game: St Bernard’s 10 Sets 71 games Def. Salesian 2 Sets 46 Games. The boys put in a tremendous effort to get to the semi-final and on behalf of the College we congratulate them.
This concludes Senior Tennis for 2016.


On the same day as the Tennis, the Volleyball B team played in their semi-final against St Bernard’s. Our boys turned up on the day to defeat St Bernard’s: Salesian 3 Sets 100 Points Def. St Bernard’s 1 Set 90 Points. This win put us through to the grand final where we would playoff against Mazenod for the title. On Wednesday 16 March the final was played against Mazenod. Unfortunately Mazenod outplayed us defeating us: Mazenod 3 Sets 75 Points Def. Salesian 0 Sets 32 Points.

The boys put in a tremendous amount of effort this season. The College could not be more proud on the efforts of the volleyball team.
This concludes Senior Volleyball for 2016.


The final game of cricket had our boys travel down to St Joseph’s College Geelong. St Joseph’s batted first and set a huge total of 9/209 to chase for victory. Wickets were taken by Nathan Antonucci, Sacheen Paramesh and four other boys taking a wicket each. Unfortunately our boys were bowled out for 66 runs. This was the final Senior Cricket game for 2016.

On behalf of the College we would like to thank all the boys for their participation and all the help that staff have offered whilst coaching a team.


Athletics Training will continue with Tuesday 22 March being the last session for Term 1.
