Senior Football has been moving along nicely in the last three weeks, with two wins and a loss.
The two wins were against Emmanuel College & St Bedes has put the boys in contention for finals football.
The boys play De La Salle in their last game before a hopeful finals birth.
The team is currently sitting fourth on the ladder.
Senior Soccer First X1
The Senior Soccer Team has had a bumpy start to the season, although in the last three games the team has found some form.
The boys beat St Bedes 2-1 in a must-win game to help them through to finals.
The team is currently sitting third with their win this week.
Another must-win game against Parade this week coming will surely see the team wrap up third spot on the table.
The boys have been very competitive with the top of the table teams in recent weeks.
A 2-2 draw against Emmanuel this week has helped the boys out of last spot with one game left.
Unfortunately they will not be playing finals, but put up a valiant effort against the likes of Bernard’s, Parade and Emmanuel College.
Year 10 & Year 9
Two squads at the school that struggled last year have found a breath of fresh air this season with dominant performances.
The Year 9 Team has won four out of their five games this year and are currently equal second on the ladder.
This has been an amazing effort by the boys as they go into their last two games trying to clinch top spot.
The Year 10 Team is undefeated this season with four wins and a draw.
The boys finished second in their pool and will be playing St Bernard’s in the semi-final next week.
Year 10 & Year 9
The Year 10 Football Team has won two and lost two games but it has the team sitting second on the ladder.
With a win next week against Simonds the boys will be playing in the grand final against Emmanuel College.
The Year 9 Football Team is sitting on top of the ladder.
With a win next week they also will be playing in the grand final in a fortnights time.
Year 7 & Year 8
Year 7 A&B soccer has been going great this year.
The Year 7 A Team is currently sitting third after their 1-0 win this week against Parade.
The boys need to continue their great form to hopefully land a spot in the final in three weeks’ time.
The Year 7 B Team is flying with two wins in a row helping to push them up right into fourth spot.
There is a huge chance for the boys to make a third vs fourth finals spot.
The Year 8 A&B Teams have been going strongly as well this season.
The Year 8 A’s, after having a slow start, are flying with three wins in a row.
A massive win 3-0 win against Emmanuel yesterday has seen them leapfrog Parade and St Bernard’s into second spot with only a goal difference separating Salesian with Mazenod.
The boys take on Mazenod next week in a battle for second position.
The Year 8 B’s are unfortunately sitting last on the ladder with only two draws for the season.
The team has been very competitive but unfortunately will not be able to make finals.
The Year 7 Football Team have lost one game for the season and are moving along nicely.
The team had a 50-16 win against Parade this week.
The team is currently sitting third on the ladder.
The Year 8 Football Team is undefeated, sitting on top of the ladder.
This is the premiership side from last year looking to go back to back.
