ACC Swimming Carnival

Friday 21 March was the ACC Swimming Carnival with the best swimmers from each year level competing against other ACC schools for the ACC swimming title. Salesian College Chadstone was placed in Division 2 with fierce competition coming from rival schools; De La Salle, CBC St Kilda and Emmanuel College. It was a great night for all involved but De La Salle held the honours cleaning up all the age groups for a comfortable Division 2 Championship win. Salesian College finished in second place in Division 2 – a great effort by all the swimmers (particularly given the quality of swimmers we are up against). A brilliant effort by Gerald Mini Farfan on the night winning his 200m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Backstroke and 50 Butterfly events. The carnival would not have been a success without the fantastic effort of Mr Egan, our coach Chris from Huntingtower, Mr Sellwood and Mr Cox for the early morning transportation to Oakleigh and Huntingtower and of course our swimmers for 2014. Top effort also by the assemblage of Year 12 students and teachers that came to MSAC to support the swimmers. Again thanks to all the swimmers for putting in the hard yards with early morning training sessions and good luck to the swimmers for next year.
