Amnesty International South Eastern group, invites you to listen to the remarkable Dr Salehi. For 30 years she has combined a demanding career as a highly respected nuclear physicist in medical research, with volunteer activities in Australia and Afghanistan. Every 6 months Nouria travels to Afghanistan to support and monitor projects she has set up there to give the people of Afghanistan essential skills and opportunities, including vocational training and literacy programs for women and young people. For her tireless efforts Nouria has been recognised with numerous awards, including 2012 Victorian Senior Australian of the Year.
