Cricket Grand Final

Wednesday 26 March saw the the Senior Cricket Team play in an ACC grand final against De La Salle for the first time since 2005. On the turf at Whitefriars College, Captain Nathaniel Cramer decided to send us in the bat first. With a few underwhelming batting performances (Connor Andrews 15, Nathaniel Cramer 19) we managed to get a total score of 96 to defend off 35 overs. With the clouds darkening we sent De La Salle into bat. Our bowling highlights included a couple of wickets to Jordan Brambleby, Sanjay Kahawatte and Gehan Seneviratne, giving us every opportunity to successfully defend our total. Unfortunately De La Salle were successful in chasing us down with 4 overs to spare.

Well done to all the boys for making it to the final and for all their commitment throughout the season, the way they conducted themselves was a true credit to the college. A huge thanks to Nick Kearney for taking time to coach the boys and teaching them a thing or two along the way.
