Dante Alighieri Poetry Recital Competition
On Monday 3 June, 19 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 participated in the Dante Alighieri Poetry Recital Competition at The University of Melbourne. Congratulations must be given to the boys for their participation and dedication to learning their poems. In particular a big thank you to the teachers of the Year 9 and 10 boys who assisted the boys in learning their poems. The competition is a prestigious one and thousands of students from hundreds of schools participate from all over Australia. The day was enjoyed by all and the experience sets boys up for a lifetime appreciation for language learning.
Congratulations boys on your participation. The results of the competition have now been released and can be viewed in the table below. A special congratulations goes to our two finalists who have been asked back to recite their poems in Term 2. Boys will be acknowledged formally at the end of Term 2 Assembly.
