Dux Assembly

Last Wednesday, we had the opportunity to come together to celebrate a range of achievements, especially in the areas of academic performance, music, sport and leadership, at our Dux Assembly. It was a wonderful occasion with: our high achieving 2013 Years 7 – 11 students being appropriately recognised; scholarship recipients announced; the inaugural Nick McKenzie Memorial Technology Studies Award presented to Dinushan Ambawatta; high quality music performed by Joseph Tran and Mr Brunton and the presentation of badges to our summer Sports Captains. The highlight, however, was the return of 27 boys from the Year 12 class of 2013 who were variously presented with certificates and bursaries to acknowledge their fantastic academic accomplishments. The 2013 College Dux, Matthew Singhavong, spoke eloquently on behalf of his companions paying tribute to the unstinting support rendered by families, teaching staff and the College as a nurturing community. The Assembly was very well-supported by the broader College community with nearly 200 family members and friends in attendance.
