Harrison Tullburg- Australian Champion

There has been an extra spring in the step of Year 12 student Harrison Tullberg (Annecy 2), as he has won the 2014 Australian Gymnastics Championships in trampolining.

The win has been the result of years of dedicated training. His regime has been an especially precarious balancing act among the rigours of Year 12. Indeed, Tullberg has provided the blueprint for any student wishing to maintain an equilibrium between their extra-curricular activities and academic success.

He has mentioned how a scaling back of training, and increased academic focus, has actually improved the quality of his performance in both areas. This is in addition to a difficult run with injuries, which interrupted his training and academic progress at times. Thankfully, he has been able to bounce back, and achieve the ultimate reward.  Both as a student at Salesian College whom I have known for some years, and as a member of Annecy House, I’m tremendously proud of his efforts. We wish him many years of success to come.
