Improving Student Learning Outcomes: 2017 Initiatives
Last night Salesian College Chadstone held a Parent Information Night for all families of boys at the school.
During the night, we emphasised the importance of boys taking responsibility for their learning, as well as the benefits of parents taking a more active role in their son’s learning.
In order to aid this, this year we will be introducing Learning Conferences, supported by Learning Indicator reports.
Learning conferences will be held in a similar manner to Parent Teacher Interviews, and will be run by the students.
Also to assist parents to become more regularly informed about their son’s progress, twice a term you will receive a Learning Indicator Report, covering behaviour, homework and classroom application.
We also strongly encourage all parents to make regular use of PAM, in order to find out about their son’s learning as well as other important information.
