Mary McKertich Public Speaking Award
This semester, every student in Years 7-11 has had the opportunity to present a speech as part of the Mary McKertich Public Speaking award.
On Wednesday 24 June, the top students from each English class will compete with their peers to be awarded best speaker of the year level. It is a fantastic skill for the boys to develop, and a big thanks is due to the English teachers who help facilitate the competition through their classes.
For the second year, the competition will culminate in the school-wide final; the Mary McKertich Public Speaking Award night on Thursday 23 July. The students will compete in a Junior, Intermediate and Senior section of the competition and there will be an overall winner of the perpetual trophy.
