Mother’s Day Mass and Breakfast

We celebrated a beautiful occasion at the College today which at least matched the lovely autumn weather we were blessed with. Over a hundred mothers, boys and girls, fathers and members of staff gathered in the Chapel for a special Mothers’ Day Mass which was concelebrated by Frs Papworth and Monaghan. Mrs Knight put together a moving liturgy which served to place the roles played by mothers in its rightful place as a gift from God. Following Mass, we moved to the Hall to share a breakfast banquet which had been prepared by our wonderful Parents Association under the leadership of Mrs Jill Ross. It was very touching to bear witness to the unambiguous love and affection the boys, many of them strapping big fellows, felt for their mothers. All in all, it was a tremendous lead in to Mothers Day on Sunday.
