The Class Reps for 8E organised a family get together last Sunday evening which was well attended by 9 families. Boys, parents and siblings made up a gathering of 34 people in the function room at the Pancake Parlour, Warrigal Rd East Malvern.
Having the function room allowed parents to mingle and get to know each other and share stories. We now look forward to catching up at the next event!
If you would like information about being a Class Rep or how to go about organising an event for your class, please contact Lina Mascaro 0407 334 520, PA Class Rep Contact.
Mother’s Day Mass & Breakfast
Following the success of last year’s Mother’s Day celebration at the school, the Parents Association (PA) will be providing a light breakfast to follow the Mother’s Day Mass. This will be held on Friday May 10. If there are any lovely dad’s out there who would be available to help out on this morning please contact Jill Ross by emailing email@example.com
The new Entertainment books have been launched and Salesian PA are again making them available for sale. The new book is only $65.00, and is filled with $15,000 worth of valuable offers which are valid until June 2014. If you are interested in purchasing or reserving one of these books please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Amor (Finance Officer) in the School Office.
Communication between home and school continues to one of the challenges for the Parents’ Association. The school newsletter is the main forum however in recent years we have introduced classroom representatives. Essentially, Class Reps work alongside the PA and teachers to keep the class parents/carers informed of all activities and events going on at the school. The support from Class Reps is vital when it comes to organising our main events. It is also a great way to meet and get to know other parents in the school. It is a relatively easy task and several parents can share the role for each class.
If you are interested in becoming a classroom rep for your son’s class, contact Lina or Jill by email to email@example.com and mark to the attention of Lina Mascaro or Jill Ross.
Our next meeting is Tuesday 14 May, 2013 at 7:00pm in the Conference room. All very welcome.
Thank you for your support.
