Peer Tutoring for Year 12 Students
The College is offering Year 12 students the chance to participate in our pilot Peer Tutoring Project. High achieving students from the successful 2013 cohort have agreed to come back and tutor students in a variety of subject areas.
This follows from the success of the informal program that began in 2013. Peer Tutoring is a recognised cost-effective means of providing academic support to students through utilising the valuable experience of their peers.
The program will run every Monday night (except Public Holidays) from 3:30pm until 4:30pm. Teaching staff will be on-site during this time. The program commenced on Monday 24 February in the Rua Resource Centre.
Year 12 students are encouraged to make use of this valuable program by identifying areas that need strengthening in their academic studies. Our Academic Ambassador Joel Nixon is assisting with the organisation of the program. Students should email him to let him know if they are interested in attending.
