Seussical the Musical

Since February, the cast and musicians of our 2016 production ‘Seussical the Musical’ have been working hard after school to bring to life this great show.

The story concerns ‘Horton the Elephant’ who discovers a tiny world – ‘Who-Ville’ – in a speck of dust that needs to be saved. During his adventures he encounters many other characters from the books of Theodor Seuss Geisel; including ‘The Lorax’, ‘The Grinch’ and of course ‘The Cat in the Hat’.

A common perception is that our students who are more art inclined are polar opposites when compared to our more sporting-orientated students. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Our cast need to act, sing and dance for over two hours – a serious aerobic activity. Our cast have rehearsed (or trained) and will then perform three shows (or matches/games) in two days. They will also not stop or lose concentration until the curtain (or siren/final whistle).
