Performing Arts News

‘Seussical’ the Musical is taking place next week at The Drum Theatre in Dandenong – tickets are available from the theatre:
Tickets are selling fast for Friday the 5th at 7pm, and Saturday the 6th at 2pm & 7pm.
Rehearsals have started for our group heading to Hawaii. The boys are very excited to be going, and are working hard on new repertoire.
We welcome Mrs Sylvia Winfield to the Instrumental Music Program as our new Strings teacher. We have introduced Strings to our Year 7 Instrumental Music Program and the boys are absolutely loving it. I look forward to hearing the string ensemble at our Spring Concert next term.
We also welcome Ms Laura Nichols to the Instrumental Music Program as our new Vocals Teacher. Again, we have introduced Vocals to our Year 7 classroom music program, where the boys will perform as one mass group at the Spring Concert. Vocal lessons are also available to all students from all Year Levels.
Congratulations to Billy Drakopoulos 10A (and his teacher Ms Zoe Frater) for his A+ High Distinction Bass Guitar (Contemporary Popular Music, Advancing Step Two in Bass Guitar).

I congratulate the boys on their hard work so far this year. The Performing Arts department is growing each year with new and exciting events. Look out for information about our upcoming Caberet & Spring Concert in Term 4.
