Salesian Science Program

Wednesday 30 July saw the first Salesian Science Program kick off for 2014. This involved 90 excited boys and girls from St Peter’s Primary School Bentleigh East partaking in a science class in the new Fedrigotti Science Wing.

What you see below is the honest effects of how this can positively impact on a child.

“I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of my daughter Annie. She had the opportunity to attend your school yesterday from St Peter’s and had a great time. Her only disappointment is that Salesian is a boys only college. She was so impressed with the school especially the science labs. Thank you once again for letting the kids have to opportunity to experience high school in such a positive way.
Regards Maryanne”

Regardless of gender, our hope is to impart curriculum passion interest and positive association with the transitioning to Secondary School. Programs such as this require vision, energy, dedication and most importantly, team work. To the Science Department; Alicia Richardson, Emerald Surrao, Byron Chen and Tara Kimstra your expertise and energy made this possible. Congratulations to Mary Menz for coordinating this initiative with her usual no fuss attitude and passion, and to Gesualda Cafasso for her support with administration.
