Salesian Visit

On Sunday evening 9 June, Fr Greg Chambers, the Provincial of the Australia-Pacific Province of the Salesians, was welcomed to the Salesian Community at their Residence here in Chadstone. He came to the Salesian Community to begin the Annual Visitation. Monday being the Public Holiday in honour of the Queen’s birthday, Fr Greg spent the day catching up with members of the Salesian Community. In the evening the Community gathered for a barbeque and a social evening. On Wednesday morning Fr Greg attended the Staff briefing and addressed the Staff of the College. He acknowledged his debt to the College being a Past Pupil, a Past Teacher and a Past Principal. He thanked Mr Rob Brennan and the staff of the College for the spirited way in which the great tradition of the College is being carried on. Fr Greg’s formal Visitation was drawn to a close on Wednesday Evening after which he returned to Ascot Vale. It is well for us to keep Fr Greg in our thoughts and Prayers as he continues his leadership role in difficult times.
