Shrove Tuesday

What a successful and fun-filled morning we had at Salesian College on Shrove Tuesday. We had a house pancake selling competition, while also raising money for our Social Justice focus this term, Caritas. Savio, Moroney, Annecy and Collinson set up their barbeques and pancake stations (with an array of toppings) on the top yard, ready for a busy morning. As the hungry students flooded into school, our House Leaders were put to work, and what a fantastic job they did navigating the crowds! House spirit was at an all-time high, with some boys even selling pancakes to the parents at the front of the school. Special thanks to our Heads of Houses; Peter Bermingham, Marianne Marshall, Nick Kearney and Chris Ryan, as well as all the other staff and students who helped out on the day.

Overall, we have raised another $946.80 for Caritas, bringing our total this term to $3269.85! An amazing effort by all, hopefully we can keep this momentum going for the rest of the term.
