Year 10 Sport finished up last week and did not play this week except for the Year 10 Hockey team that made the semi-final.
Unfortunately, the boys lost 6-0 to a well drilled Whitefriars College, that had a few state hockey players in their side.
A huge thank you to all the boys and Mr Loonstra, Mr Pye & Mr Sellwood for their coaching contribution this term.
Year 9 Sport came to an end this week.
Year 9 Hockey drew their final game of the season.
Year 9 Table Tennis lost their final game to St Bedes, 10 Sets 47 Games St Bedes Def. Salesian 5 Sets 28 Games.
Year 9A Basketball lost in a nail biter 42-44 against St Bedes in their last game.
Year 9B Basketball lost 23-40 against St Bedes, in a game where the boys started off very strong.

Senior Sport came to a complete finish this week.
Senior Hockey made the semi-final and played against a very strong St Bedes team.
Unfortunately, the boys lost 5-0.
Senior Table Tennis and Basketball ended last week.

Year 7A Basketball travelled to Mazenod to play our rivals. Unfortunately, the boys lost 47-27.
Year 7B Basketball also played against Mazenod College. They too were unfortunate, losing 50-31.
Year 7 Hockey played against Mazenod and drew 1-1 in a very close game. With a win next week, the boys could secure a grand final position.
Year 7 Table Tennis lost against Mazenod College, who are a very strong table tennis school.
Year 7 Sport will play their final round next week before moving into finals.
Year 8A Basketball hosted De La Salle College in our College Hall. Unfortunately, the boys lost 38-29.
Year 8B Basketball also played De La Salle and were unfortunate, losing 50-18.
Year 8 Table Tennis had a fantastic win against De La Salle. The final score was: Salesian 10 Sets 47 Games Def. De La Salle 5 Sets 28 Games.
Year 8 Hockey had a huge win against De La Salle 1-0. With a win next week, they can also secure a grand final position.
On the 12th, 13th & 14th of August Dean Dritsas in Year 11 competed in the 45th Karate National Championships.
The following are his fantastic results.
- Competed in the -68kg kumite 16-17yr division and won bronze
- Competed in the 16-17yr open weight division and won bronze
- Competed in the team event for 16-17yr and won gold for Victoria
These are fantastic achievements for Dean in his karate.
Dean now looks towards the 13th of September where he will be travelling to New Caledonia to represent Australia at the Oceanic Karate Championships.
