ACC Sport Update

Junior Football
The Year 7 football side once again had a win making it three wins for the season. The team has won convincingly in all three games.
The Year 8 side played their first game of the season and had a win against Simonds. This week they have a Bye.

Junior Soccer
The Year 7 Soccer A Team had a late win against Mazenod College in their last game. The late winner has the team with two wins for the season, this week they play Whitefriars College.
The Soccer B’s have been unfortunate this season and are yet to win a game. This week the B’s have a bye.
The Year 8 Soccer A team will play their second game of the season against Mazenod College and are looking to get their first win of the season.
The 8 B’s will also be looking for their first win against Mazenod College this week.

Intermediate Football
Both Year 9’s & 10’s had wins this week and remain undefeated for the season.
The Year 10’s had a fantastic win against Simonds winning 189-1. Let’s hope the form continues on through to next week.
We wish them all the best in the coming weeks.

Intermediate Soccer
Both Year 9’s & 10’s had wins this week.
The Year 9’s won 5-0 at our neighbours Mazenod and are still in a good position to make the grand final.
The Year 10 team won 6-1 against Emmanuel at Mannix Campus. The boys played their best soccer for the season in the first half.
This team travels to St Joseph’s Geelong next week, a win will secure a semi-final birth.

Senior Football
Congratulations to our senior football team on their first win of the season.
They entertained one of powerhouses of ACC football St Bernard’s and ran out 65-41 winners.

Senior Soccer
The best half of soccer produced this season by the First X1, saw them go in front of St Bernard’s 1-0. Not a true reflection of the dominance they had in the first half. A term often used in soccer is “soccer is a funny game” this was true of this game where St Bernard’s dominated the second half and won 4-2. A penalty miss and some defensive blunders, handed the game to St Bernard’s.
We now have to win next week at home to Simonds, to make the semi-finals. This will not be an easy win seeing as Simonds is the form side beating Emmanuel 6-0 on Wednesday.
Soccer 2nd’s won their first game 4-1 last week against Parade. Unfortunately the team had a loss this week against St Bernard’s. The team now looks forward to facing our neighbours Mazenod Next week.

Athiesh Katheesan (Year 10)

Alex Le (Year 11)
