ACC Sport


Year 7

Year 7 A & B Soccer finished off the seasons with a loss, both finishing 4th in the league.
Well done to all that played throughout the term.

Year 7 Football capped off a stunning season with a grand final win against St Bedes, reversing last weeks result when they went to St Bedes and lost by 17 points.
Congratulations to all who played this season.

Year 8

Year 8 A Soccer team had a great win against St Bedes 8-2.
Two more wins than last year, we look forward to taking this improvement to Year 9.

Year 8 Football unfortunately lost their grand final by 4 points.
Going into 3 quarter time down by 17 the boys rally to comeback within 4 points.
All the best for the boys and we look forward to seeing them move up to year 9’s next year.


Year 9

Year 9 Soccer ended with a great effort by all the boys that participated.
There were no finals to be played for this side but they will look to next year where they are looking for a premiership.

Year 9 Football played in a grand final during the week and successfully brought another premiership to the college this year.
The team played very well against Whitefriars college running home winners. Congratulations to all the boys on a fine season.

Year 10

We had the final games of the term for the Year 10’s. Unfortunately for 10 soccer Salesian went down 3-0 against Mazenod College in the final.
Mazenod was too strong on the day but all credit to our boys who never gave up until the end.

Year 10 Football team were crowned premiers in their win against CBC St Kilda. Great effort to the boys who courageously got a win by three points.
Well done boys and congratulations on a great effort.


With the Soccer Senior Seconds and Senior Football finished the college looked to the Senior First X1 Side.

The Senior Firsts played in a grand final against St Bernard’s College.
It was a close encounter with scores 1-1 with 10 minutes left of play our on goal until this stage was scored by Tapiwanashe Munyanyiwa.
In the 85th minute a goal was slotted in by the captain Marcus Sawan followed by another goal by Delarno Pharoe in the 89th minute.
With the final score 3-1 Salesian were crowned 2015 ACC Senior Soccer Champions!!

A big thank you to all the boys that participated in this terms ACC Sport by representing the school with great honour and respect.
Finally a thank you to all the coaches that helped form all the sides and coach the boys during school hours and held session after hours and on holidays.

We now look forward to Table Tennis, Basketball & Hockey starting in Term 3.
