ACC Athletics Carnival

After being relegated to Division 2 last year for athletics our boys were fired up to make amends and take back our spot in division 1.

Lakeside Stadium Albert Park was the venue on a glorious day with the forecast of 25 degrees. On the day we had to compete with the powerhouse St Joseph’s College Geelong. From start to finish we competed strongly against them for the Championship cup. Unfortunately, we were unable to hold them off with Salesian falling short by 25 points to win the division. We did however win the Senior aggregate sup in Division 2.

A big thank you to all the boys that participated on the day. Also thanks to Mr Groves, Bloom, Ryan, Sellwood, Loonstra, Kearney, Campisano, Cox, Mr Beckham & Peacock. Also a thank you to Miss Simon. Finally a huge thank you to Mr Egan the athletics coach for 2016.

ACC Open Badminton

On 20th April Mr Wang and our Salesian Open Badminton team participated in the ACC Open Badminton tournament at MSAC. The team consisted of year 10, 11 & 12 students. It is always a great achievement to win senior championships in ACC competition. Our boys were fortunate enough to take home the chocolates winning the tournament. This is a great start for our badminton team. Junior & Intermediate tournaments will be running in May. Congratulations to all the boys on the win and Mr Wang for his commitment to coaching the boys.
