Support for the Philippines

On Friday 15 November, students, especially students who have a connection with families devastated by the Typhoon that swept across parts of the Philippines, were invited to come to the Chapel to attend Mass and in prayer to be in solidarity with the Philippino people. Two Salesian Communities were destroyed in the storm and the other Salesian Colleges scattered in other parts of the Philippines have rallied to provide support to those in need. They are providing collection centres for food, clothing and simple needs and arranging for the transferral of these to the areas of great need.

In solidarity with the Salesians in the Philippines the Australian Province of the Salesians is mounting a fundraising project to assist the Philippine Salesians with their enormous task.
