UPDATE 2016 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Premiers’ Reading Challenge has made an important change to the Parent Consent rules:

We are happy to announce that this year that parental consent forms are no longer required for children to participate in the PRC; unless parents would like their child’s name on the online honour roll.”

This means that all students have to do to get a certificate is to Login (see below) and enter at least 15 the books they have read between January and September 12(Closing date) this year, however all students who actively participate will receive a Salesian Certificate of Reading Participation, regardless of number of books read.

SO GET GOING & ENTER THOSE BOOKS! The Rua Resource Centre or your English teachers can give you your Login and Password (see instructions below to get started).

Congratulations to those boys who are already actively participating!

Login Instructions for Students (from the Student User guide which has been sent in an email attachment to your son)

To log in as a student you must use a username and password that has been registered through a school which is registered for the Challenge (NB: All students in years 7 & 8 and 9 are already entered for Salesian College)

  1. Go to www.education.vic.gov.au/prc and click on ‘Students tab’ on the left hand menu and then click on ‘Student Log In’.
  2. Enter your registered student username and password.
  3. Click ‘Log in’.
  4. Your homepage will appear.
